Bristol Museums has an extensive collection of costume and textiles comprising around 10,000 items dating from the 1730s.
These exquisite items include beautiful court dresses, printed Victorian fabrics, flapper dance wear and wartime utility.  Accessories range from fans, hats and corsages to all kinds of unusual shoes such as dancing slippers, silk boots, and 1970s platforms.
This online talk will take you into the museum stores for a visual feast of fashion history. You will hear about changing styles, uncover hidden details and hear about the social changes that shape the costume collection.
