ADMINISTRATION
The activities of Friends of Bristol”™s Museums, Galleries & Archives are controlled by two committees, the Executive Committee which takes decisions on the direction of the organisation and how funds should be spent and the Programme Committee, which is a sub-committee reporting to the Executive, which organises the full calendar of events enjoyed by our members.
Members of the Executive Committee are elected at the AGM and serve for five years, while members on the Programme Committee, as they are not elected, serve for as long or as short as they wish. Meetings of the Executive Committee are held each month, excluding August, in the Council House and include a formal report from a senior management representative of Bristol”™s Museums Galleries & Archives which offers an insight into service activities and strategy and an opportunity for us to comment.
The Programme Committee meet informally every 5 or 6 weeks over coffee to discuss ideas for the coming months. New faces and suggestions are always welcome.
